Since 2012 I have been recording various events. It started with recording the Sturtevant Fireworks. In January 2013 I began audio recording all Village of Mt Pleasant Board of Trustee meetings and sharing them on the local Mt. Pleasant Patch site. I recently decided to share those here. In addition, I share this with "Racine County Eye."

Both older and new recordings will automatically be added to this library. This entire project was created to help people stay up-to-date on the activities of your local Village elected officials. How are the trustees you voted for doing? From the comfort of your own home you can now find out. At the Library merely click on the meeting you wish to hear and turn up the volume on your speakers or earphones. Please assure your computer speakers are wired in stereo. Mono systems may not function properly.

Welcome to Mt. Pleasant, WI Blog
I have been thinking of creating a blog site for awhile now. I wanted a place that people could check in quickly, easily and a site which provided useful information. A place where it would help people do what they do. That may be a simple concept but once I dived in I discovered that it was not all that easy.
For example I wanted to create a calendar for events in the Village. This could be a real resource for residents of Mt. Pleasant. Whether the calendar is for Village Hall or public events for young and old, I thought it would be a nice addition that people would enjoy checking on from time to time. Finding a blog software that works with a calendar just isn't very plentiful I found out. But then I stumbled on, of all things, Google. Google has it's own Blogging software as well as Calendar software. And lo and behold it can be used together. The best part is it is free to charge too. So, I tried to see how well it worked. The result is what you see here now. I am sure it will evolve over time and improve so don't feel shy providing any feedback on things.
So, that's it. Took me awhile to start one but I think once I had a good idea what I wanted, the pieces finally came together. Thanks for reading and I hope you stop by from time to time and add to the discussion.
